#3 Making Music

Music is such an important part of my life. It, for lack of a better saying, is what keeps me running. It is the thing that can get me pumped, cheer me up, move me. It can bring more emotions out of me than most people, books, things, movies. It is one of the things I value most in life. And I like to create it and listen to it. All kinds. Anything from contemporary, to movie sound tracks, to old fashion country. Note: I didn’t say ALL country.

One of my favorite things to do is sit and listen to music. Just sit. I take inspiration from everything I hear. I listen to all kinds of music too. I find that you can learn so much from all kinds. It can make me laugh, it can make me smile, it can make me cry, or it can make  me mad. Usually I only get mad while listening to medal, or country. But besides that, music tells stories and we can all find our own story within it.

When it comes to creating music, sitting on the piano bench with my fingers on the keys is the most comfortable place in the world. I look at a piano in the same way that Picasso looked at a paint pallet filled with 1 million colors. It is a chance to create anything I want. Or recreate my favorite tune. It is a perfect way to make me happy. And next to the piano is my new favorite. Guitar. It is a bit hard, and painful, but I’m addicted.

Music is perfect. And I would choose to be blind over deaf. Because the thought of living the rest of my life without being able to hear music is just unbearable. To create and listen to music is something I want to be able to do for the rest of my life.
